Family plans: Add protection for your children
If you have children, there are several features you can activate to help protect them:
Monitor your child’s identity
You can keep an eye on your child’s information to help catch potential child identity theft. If we know your child’s identity has been used in a transaction, we’ll send an alert as soon as possible.
Note: Before you add a child to your account, be sure to have your child’s date of birth and Social Security number on hand.
1. Log in to your account
2. Click on your user icon in the top right corner
3. Select “Family”
4. Click “Add a member”
5. Enter your child’s personal information, including date of birth and Social Security number
6. Click “Add a member”
If your child has an email address
If your child has an email address, you can add it to dark web monitoring. We’ll send an alert when we know your child’s email address ends up on the dark web.
If your child has web login credentials
If your child has web login credentials — like gaming or social media accounts — you can add these to dark web monitoring. Then we’ll send an alert when we know these credentials end up on the dark web.
Monitor your child’s social media accounts
With social media monitoring, you can keep an eye on your child’s Facebook and YouTube posts. Once you’ve linked your child’s social accounts, we’ll watch out for account takeover or potentially inappropriate comments. We’ll alert you if we see any issues, and you can take it from there.
